5 Easy Steps to Get Motivated to Mastery

After spending this month trying to solidify my goals and resolutions for the year, I decided I’d share a proven success formula that I personally use, which is guaranteed to jump-start your emotions to take action and produce amazing results.

I learned this from the ultimate success coach, Tony Robbins, and it’s mandatory for whenever I set a new goal.

Be sure to get out a pen and a few sheets of paper.  Otherwise, reading this article is USELESS if you’re just going to read it over and say to yourself “oh, that’s nice…”  Rather, the PURPOSE of this is to give you enough REASONS and LEVERAGE to take massive action towards getting a specific area of your life taken care of.

Lets begin…

1- What is an area of your life that you wish to master?

It can be any area of your life.  I’ve personally used this to create the motivation to follow through with my social life and relationships, which was an area that I struggled with for many years.

2- What will it cost you if you don’t master this area of your life?

Think long and hard about this, while being SPECIFIC as possible.  The purpose of this is to create the pain and leverage on yourself to do something about it.  Don’t sugarcoat things - be honest.

3- How would the quality of your life improve if you master this area of your life?

Think about how amazing you’d feel and how much more rich and fulfilling your life will be.  What would the rewards be?  The purpose of this is to create the pleasure and positive emotions to empower you to follow through.

4- What’s the story you tell yourself, which has been holding you back?

“The only thing that is keeping you from getting what you want, is the story you keep telling yourself about why you can’t have it.”  — Anthony Robbins

Everyone has a story they tell themselves or share with others of why they can’t do something or follow through.  It’s often just a rationalization.  It’s a limiting belief that is holding them back.  What is it for you?

Once you have it, write it down and ask yourself “why is this bullshit?”

Realize that it’s BS and let go of it.

5- What are you going to do to master this area of your life?

What actions are you going to take?  What can you do RIGHT NOW to move towards your outcome?  What are you going to commit to?  Write out a quick action plan, and think about how you can do something ASAP to create momentum.

How do you feel after writing this stuff down?  My guess is you’re probably pumped up and ready to get on things.

Remember, you can either SETTLE… or set your own standard for success and fulfillment.

So what are you waiting for??

    Cool system.

This seems like something that many of us do naturally and TH has modeled it into a process.
