Bunny Tales — Behind Closed Doors at the Playboy Mansion, by Izabella St. James

When I was in LA last month I picked up a book at a bookstore out there called Bunny Tales - Behind Closed Doors at the Playboy Mansion, written by Izabella St. James

I read Jenna Jameson’s biography a year or two ago and really enjoyed learning the lifestyle of a gorgeous celebrity.  Just reading the crazy stories and what she went through is really captivating and educational.

I decided to pick up this book because I was curious about the lifestyle at the legendary Playboy Mansion.  What really goes on there?  And, not only that, but reading the story and lifestyle of a beautiful girl is also interesting to me.

Izabella St. James tells the honest truth and story of how she moved into the Playboy Mansion, came to become one of Hugh Hefners 7 girlfriends, and shares all the details and drama of what REALLY goes on at the mansion.

I found it interesting to learn about Hugh Hefner as well, as he’s envied by millions of men around the world and is heralded as the ultimate “ladies man.”

But, from reading the book, one interesting realization that I came to was that Hugh Hefner isn’t to be envied at all.  In fact, in many ways, I feel bad for him and even pity him.

This is a man that people figure has this area called “relationships” taken care of, and it’s far from the truth.

It was interesting to hear how the majority of his girlfriends and the women that’d be around him were only interested in him to either become a playmate or to get money (or other resources) from him.

While he has gorgeous girls prancing around him all day when he’s out, there is no intimacy, connection or love — and as you could probably guess, he is not fulfilled or happy in any way.

I don’t know about you, but one of the reasons I spent so much time focusing on this area of my life (meeting and attracting women) is because I’d rather have women like me for ME, rather than it being based on looks, money, or fame.

The time I’ve spent in developing my personality and who I am as a person has paid off in dividends.  I’m more happy and fulfilled than ever.

Another thing about Hugh, is that it seems he is just validated by the female attention he receives.  He constantly has to have women around him to show off and to bolster his self-esteem.  And it’s sad to know how a lot of women would leave him the moment he made them a Playmate or how they rarely wanted to spend time with him or be near him.  It was mainly only because if they didn’t go out with him or contribute to his lifestyle in that way, they wouldn’t receive their weekly allowance and whatnot.

Yes, there are a lot of perks for living at the Playboy Mansion.  You get a weekly allowance of $1000, a new car, $$ for outfits, surgeries, etc…  He invests thousands of dollars per month on his girlfriends.

And, the funny thing is, his so-called “girlfriends” wouldn’t even have sex with him.  Only his primary girlfriend would, while the others were just cashing in off of their benefits.  In fact, many of them would hook up with the staff at the mansion or even had secret boyfriends outside of the mansion.

Of course, while living at the mansion, there were many rules and regulations.  One of them was that there was a 9PM curfew.  Also, the girls would have to go out with Hef on certain nights of the week to clubs and watch movies with him weekly.

Hugh Hefner doesn’t have a very glamorous lifestyle.  He throws cool parties and events at the mansion, but besides that, he usually sits around at the mansion watching the same classic movies again and again, goes out to the same clubs again and again, and travels occasionally for special events.

I don’t meant to sound negative on the guy, as there are also a lot of great things to be said for the guy.  He is known as a very caring, loving, sincere, and generous man — only easily manipulated by his Girlfriends.

After reading about Izabella St. James story and learning about her personality, I’ve concluded that I really like her.  She sounds really mature, intelligent, and more “together” than all the other girls that were living at the mansion.  Of course she is the one writing the book and it’s from her perspective, I still think that she seems really sincere and genuine.

Beautiful women of that kind of quality are rare, but I can definitely tell that she isn’t just a pretty face.

Anyway, I think this was a great book to pick up if you’re interested in hearing more stories and the lifestyle of Hugh Hefner and one of his Girlfriends.  You can check out the book at Amazon by clicking here.

Solid review. Sounds like quite the book.

In the excepts I have it clearly states that they get extra money if they get sexual, Hef does things with women in front on Holly (his main) with the use of pills and it hurts her when he does things he can’t do with her, with others (positions etc.) since they are NEW vs the usual.
