What are you REALLY capable of?

I’m sick and recovering from an extremely intense weekend at the Taboo Sex Show and the Student Leadership Conference at UBC.

A lot of preparation went into this weekend, such as personally working 15 hours per day to get everything organized, rehearsals for our “Art of Self-Leadership” workshop for the Student Leadership Conference, and getting our team together, pumped and ready to go to promote Lifestyle Transformations.

We knew in advance that it was going to be an INTENSE weekend, on our feet 15 hours a day just go-go-go…, which is why we did whatever it, took to stay healthy.  We did everything from consuming double shots of wheat grass in the morning to bringing a knife and cutting board to our exhibit, chopping lemons to alkalize our bottles of water.

But overall, the weekend was a BLAST.  If you didn’t attend the Taboo Sex Show… I hate to say it, but you missed out BIG TIME.

Everything was a massive success.  At the exhibit, we received A LOT of interest from a variety of people and it looks like things are going to EXPLODE within the next few weeks for us.

Some people were so impressed and excited, that they signed up for our programs right there on the spot.  Our upcoming Transformations Bootcamp is already 1/3 full, and we have only been up and running for less than a week!

As for the Student Leadership Conference at UBC, we delivered the goods and essentially eclipsed the room with our “Art of Self-Leadership” workshop.  It was extremely fulfilling to have students approach us after wards and tell us how much of an inspiration we were and how much we have contributed to their lives.

We received this email from a student the day after the workshop:

“I attended your workshop at UBC yesterday. I did get the chance to tell Cheyenne that you guys were amazing. But I just wanted to tell all of you- Thank you- you guys were amazing! I was actually afraid to go to sleep last night for fear I would lose all the energy and momentum I gained.  Just wondering how do you guys keep your momentum and energy so high? What can I do?

And, do you guys come to high schools to give workshops?

Thanks again”

It means a lot to us to receive positive feedback and props, knowing that we have reached our outcome of offering value and contributing to the lives of others.

Before the workshop, we made sure we had a clear-cut outcome in mind and that what we were presenting was so IMPORTANT to us that others would feel the passion and energy we had behind it.

And to think the week before all of this we were totally stressed out of our minds and were wondering how we were going to make things happen.

The chaos and craziness of the weekend leads me to write a quick article, titled “What are you REALLY capable of?

Life is always challenging us.  Just when you think everything is “together” — BOOM, a new challenge or problem shows up.

However, most people COMPLAIN about their problems or challenges, rather than being grateful for them.

It’s in these moments you get to see what you’re REALLY capable of.  You’re forced to STEP UP and overcome it, or throw in the towel and surrender.

Part of living up to your full potential and experiencing massive growth involves OVERCOMING your challenges.

There were many occasions in my life where things were too stressful, frustrating, overwhelming, or challenging that it would have been EASY to just “give up.”  But if I had, then where would I be?  Would I be the same person that I am today?  Would I have experienced the same levels of growth?

Everything in life either GROWS or DIES.

How do you develop muscles?  You PUSH against enormous levels of RESISTENCE.  Which rep is the most difficult, from 1-10?  10.  Which rep involves the most growth, from 1-10?  11.

Is it easy?  Is it comfortable?  No.

But in order to experience the pleasures that life has to offer, you must first go through what Arnold Schwarzenegger calls the “pain period.”  If you’re a fat person and you want to lose some weight, you have to go through the pain and discomfort of losing weight, in order to enjoy the benefits of having lost the weight.

To quote Arny…

“The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow.  This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion.  That’s what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they’ll go through the pain no matter what happens.”

To me, this is one of the most important factors of TRANSFORMATION.

Every time you overcome a challenge, you develop your CHARACTER.

You’re building your “emotional muscles”, so to speak…

So, ask yourself… what are you going to do when the road gets rocky?  What are you going to do when a new challenge arises?

You decide what is worth it.

    Good stuff.

The people I spoke with at the sex show were very supportive of LT’s approach to coaching men, and I think that’s why it was a huge success.
