To get myself in the habit of reading again on a regular basis, my roommate reyalP and I have agreed to read a book per week for the next 8 weeks (150+ pages per week, basically).
In the past, when I’ve been reading and feeding my brain with productive information, I’ve felt a lot more motivated, driven, and mentally sharp. It’s been like FOOD for my brain to consume, which keeps me on the ball and achieving.
I can’t stress enough the importance of reading for one’s own personal development, as books provide you with a lot of useful information, ideas and insights, while giving you a MENTOR or ROLEMODEL to look up to.
I invite and encourage anyone who’s reading this to take up the challenge as well.
For the next 8 weeks, I’ll be writing a review of each book I’ve read. I enjoy reading a lot of self-help books and biographies. Be sure to check back here for the regular reviews.

Looks like you got some good selections there. I agree about using books as mentors and role models for your own life. They’re a great way to borrow other people’s strengths and try them out for a little while, they choose to integrate as you see fit.
Woah, woah, woah there… There are a few corrections:
1) We didn’t agree on “basically 150+ pages” and we didn’t agree on “one book per week” — the challenge is simply 150 pages (or more).
2) Let’s be clear on what is meant by “page”. By page, it’s meant that it is full of _text_ and not pictures.
3) One book does not count as 150+ pages. The number of pages is what matters.
Anyways, good luck!
P.S. If all you’ve read by the end of the week is “Driven From Within” I’ll be seeing you at The Naam, you’re treat
I should be finished two books by Sunday, well over 150+ pages, believe me!
Excellent! That’s what I like to hear
